Cold Run

We didn't have any snow, but it was windy and cold. A feels like of 27 degrees.

I always run a bit faster when it is cold weather.  I guess my body doesn't have to work so hard to keep my temp regulated. I love that I ran a minute faster with each mile.  Now if I could only run all my miles at a sub 11 minute pace.  I know I'm slow, but I'm out there!

  1. Good for you for being out there! Think how healthy our hearts are! I've been on the treadmill all week :-( It's been about 5 degrees with -15 to -20 wind chills, so I've been forced indoors. I'm not a fan, but the mill is going much better this year than last.

    1. Wow, you must be in a northern state! Funny, if I run a lot on the treadmill I get tot where I like it. If I run outside a lot, I hate it. I've been running outside a lot lately and had to run indoors tonight, and I hated it! I got a little velcro face mask thing from Amazon and am anxious to try it out on those cold days.

  2. We're in northeast Wisconsin. The "frozen tundra!" Today is 29 degrees, and I was so excited to run outside. Once I got out there, freezing drizzle started, the roads and sidewalks totally iced up, I had to slide home, and now I'm back inside. And tomorrow we go back to a high of 3. I think next year I'm going to buy a treadmill so I don't have to go over to my daughter's.
